The Senior Accountant will play a key role in managing the company’s accounting operations, ensuring financial accuracy, and supporting strategic decision-making as we continue to scale. This role oversees day-to-day accounting, month-end close, financial reporting, reconciliations, and compliance activities, partnering closely with leadership to improve processes and implement best-in-class financial controls.
Key Responsibilities
Own the month-end and year-end close process, including journal entries, reconciliations, and financial statement preparation.
Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
Oversee bank, merchant, and payment platform reconciliations (Stripe, Deel, PayPal, etc.).
Maintain the general ledger and ensure compliance with GAAP standards.
Support budgeting and forecasting by providing timely financial data and variance analysis.
Partner with the COO and department heads to support financial planning and decision-making.
Collaborate with external accountants, auditors, and tax advisors to ensure compliance with federal and state regulations.
Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy in accounting operations.
Manage and refine financial systems and reporting tools (e.g., QuickBooks, Gusto, Google Sheets).
Support cash flow management and internal reporting needs as the company grows.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or CPA-eligible preferred.
4–7 years of progressive accounting experience (startup, fintech, or SaaS experience a plus).
Strong understanding of GAAP, financial reporting, and compliance.
Proficient in QuickBooks Online, Excel/Google Sheets, and financial automation tools.
Exceptional analytical skills, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and work independently.
Strong communication and collaboration skills across teams and functions.
